What we do


The office helps the Director General, and his trustees to establish and deliver the foundation’s overall strategy and policy priorities. The office also communicate the foundation’s policies to regional divisions, the public and international audiences.



Our responsibilities


We're responsible for:

  • promoting the release of foundation data, and making the way the foundation operates more transparent
  • implementing decisions of the Department of Research and Reform where prudent
  • managing inter-department co-operation
  • supporting the Department of Works, to maintain the value while increasing the impact of the foundation
  • co-ordinating the foundation’s response to crises
  • decisions of the General Council
  • defining policy and strategic direction
